Your Broker, Fund Manager, Wealth Manager, Banker and/or Agent is compensated to sell you products and gather your assets. If you make money, that is great! You will probably be back for more. But, and this is the important thing to remember, neither your salesperson nor the investment firm is directly incentivized to make you money.

But, that doesn’t mean that financial firms can’t provide useful services. By discriminating between what financial firms are well placed to provide and what they are not designed to provide, you can make cost effective and efficient decisions when it comes to outsourcing necessary investment tasks.
